El protofeminismo francés en España: acerca de la recepción de algunas obras y de la necesidad de traducir lo aún desconocido

Resumen: El objetivo de este trabajo es exponer la recepción, en España, de las obras protofeministas francesas, centrándonos en obras escritas únicamente por mujeres y abarcando un periodo bastante largo, desde la Edad Media hasta el siglo XVIII (hasta que estalle la Revolución francesa). El estudio gira más específicamente alrededor de las traducciones de las autoras Christine de Pizan, Marie de Gournay, Gabrielle Suchon y Louise Dupin. Pretendemos resaltar, asimismo, la necesidad de traducir al español lo que aún es desconocido de sus obras, lo que concierne especialmente las dos últimas autoras mencionadas. Abordaremos también las propias traducciones ya existentes, ofreciendo un breve análisis traductológico y determinando si se trata de una traducción más bien “sourcière” o “cibliste”, según la célebre distinción establecida por Jean-René Ladmiral.

Abstract: The aim of this paper is to expose the reception, in Spain, of French protofeminist works focusing on works written by women only and covering the rather long period, from the Middle Ages to the eighteenth century or until the outbreak of the French Revolution. The study revolves more specifically around translations by women authors such as Christine de Pizan, Marie de Gournay, Gabrielle Suchon and Louise Dupin. At the same time, we intend to highlight the need to translate into Spanish what is still unknown of these works, especially concerning the last two mentioned authors. We will also address the existing translations themselves by offering a brief translatological analysis, determining whether it is more of a “sourcière” or “cibliste” translation according to the famous distinction established by Jean-René Ladmiral.
