Pablo García Casado: en Las afueras de la poesía

Resumen: Este artículo aborda la irrupción de la poesía de Pablo García Casado en el campo literario español de los noventa. Siguiendo a Itamar Even-Zohar y Pierre Bourdieu, este campo se entiende como un sistema relacional en el marco de los polisistemas culturales; por ello, se analizan los modelos escriturales de varios autores desde el punto de vista de su interrelación con el conjunto de tendencias activas en el campo, incluyendo textos de García Casado, Luis García Montero, Raymond Carver, Roger Wolfe, Jaime Gil de Biedma, Ada Salas, Isla Correyero y Violeta C. Rangel. También se tienen en cuenta relaciones de orden supranacional, subrayando, no obstante, las dinámicas que tienen ocasión dentro del propio campo literario español, pues es dentro de este espacio donde se negocian los envites por la consagración que deciden, al cabo, la inclusión de un determinado escritor en un canon histórico de obras y autores.

Abstract: This article discusses the emergence of the poetry of Pablo García Casado within the Spanish literary field of the 1990s. Drawing on the theories of Itamar Even-Zohar and Pierre Bourdieu, this field is understood as a relational system within the framework of cultural polysystems. Accordingly, the study analyses the literary models of several authors in terms of their interrelations with the range of active tendencies in the field, including texts by García Casado, Luis García Montero, Raymond Carver, Roger Wolfe, Jaime Gil de Biedma, Ada Salas, Isla Correyero, and Violeta C. Rangel. Supranational relations are also considered; however, particular emphasis is placed on the dynamics unfolding within the Spanish literary field itself, since it is within this space that the struggles for consecration are negotiated — struggles that ultimately determine a writer’s inclusion in a historical canon of works and authors.
