Abstrakt: Štúdia sa sústreďuje na umelecké a estetické aspekty cestopisnej literatúry so zreteľom na kategóriu malebnosti a jej funkciu vo výstavbe výrazovej kvality textu. Pozornosť je venovaná transformáciám cestopisného žánru v 19. storočí, najmä v kontexte romantizmu, ktorý prispel k jeho estetizácii a subjektivizácii. Analýza cestopisného diela francúzskeho autora Noëla Marie Victora du Parc Locmaria sa opiera o teóriu štýlu Františka Mika a sleduje spôsoby, akými sa malebnosť prejavuje ako špecifická estetická výrazová kvalita textu. Štúdia poukazuje na prepojenie medzi faktografickým a umeleckým rozmerom cestopisného diskurzu v nadväznosti na kultúrnohistorický kontext obdobia, v ktorom vznikal.

Abstract: The study focuses on the artistic and aesthetic aspects of travel literature, with particular attention to the category of picturesqueness and its role in shaping the expressive quality of the text. It examines the transformations of the travel genre in the 19th century, especially in the context of Romanticism, which contributed to its aestheticization and subjectivization. The analysis of the travel work of the French author Noël Marie Victor du Parc Locmaria draws on František Miko’s theory of style and explores the ways in which picturesqueness manifests as a specific aesthetic and expressive quality of the text. The study highlights the connection between the factual and artistic dimensions of travel discourse in relation to the cultural and historical context in which it was created.
